Short delay makes it hard to work with

I was disappointed to find out that there is a short delay between pressing a button and the audio starting to play. My audio files have no silence at all at the beginning, so they should play immediately. Sadly, thats not the case. Theres a a short but annoying delay, making working with it in an on-air environment far from pleasant.
